Josh Rogers

POSA is pleased to welcome Josh Rogers to the POSA family as Head Coach. Josh joins POSA after enjoying a very successful swim career. Josh was a POSA swimmer and a Sandburg Eagle swimmer before becoming an All-American at Lewis University, where he earned an MBA in Business Administration. He completed an internship with the University of Michigan where he worked in a coaching capacity with Club Wolverines. Josh also has a background in personal training as well as dryland training techniques. Many plans are in the works for a very successful and exciting swim season!!

Gary Guzzo

Joined the POSA coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2005. Gary started his coaching career at Oak Forest Swim Club. Prior to that he was very involved with POSA serving as POSA's President from 1999-2001 and a POSA Board of Director for several years prior. Gary's coaching philosophy is, "Every coach should have a passion for the sport of swimming and be involved with each swimmer on the team. Every swimmer deserves coaching and instruction with emphasis on stroke improvement and technique. The goal for every swimmer should be to become the best athlete they can be".

Megan Strode

This is Coach Megan’s fourthseason as an assistant coach for POSA. Coach Megan began swimming at POSA when she was 11 and continued her career at Carl Sandburg High School. While at Sandburg she qualified for the state meet all four years and medaled during her junior year season. She is a special education teacher in Chicago Heights working with students who have emotional, behavioral and cognitive disabilities. She is very excited for the winter and is hopeful for a successful season! GO EAGLES!!

Matt Petrizzo

Matt began swimming at the age of 5 for the Lockport and Westmont Swim Clubs. Matt was a varsity swimmer all 4 years at Lockport High School; state qualifier in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Backstroke his junior and senior year; was All-State his senior year. Matt received a scholarship to Lewis University where he was co-captain of the team for three years. Matt graduated with a degree in Economics and is currently a financial consultant at RBC Wealth Management in Orland Park. Matt has taught group and individual swim lessons for age group swimmers for many years and he is very excited to be part of the POSA Team.

Christina Wallace

Christina began swimming competitively at the age of 4. She was a member of the Andrew H.S. Varsity swim team all 4 years and received the MVP award two years in a row. She qualified for Illinois State Swimming Championships for 3 years, where she swam the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke in addition to the medley and 400 free relays. Christina earned a swimming scholarship to Eastern Illinois University and was part of the Women’s EIU Midwest Conference Championship team. She recently graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education and Driver Education. As a coach, she emphasizes good stroke technique so that her swimmers swim smarter, not harder. She is thrilled to be part of this team and looks forward to a successful season.
